So, we are officialy in the Domincan Republic, and our second first impression has been a huge improvments from this summers sweltering, noisy and flood-fest.

So far, one day in; its all good :-)

The last two weeks have been a flurry of activity, packing up the house, finalizing all the paperwork, trying to rent out our apartment and organizing our first month here.

We somehow finished more or less on time, and yesterday we spent 17 hours seated in planes and airports to move to what will be a completly different life, temporarily, but even so.

We have not done so much yet, but we walked around the colonial center today, and it is so much nicer then it was this summer. Mostly because of the temprature I think, today it was 27 degrees C, this summer probably 35, I prefer 27.  Also, being a sunday, it was quiet and just plain relaxing to walk around. It was almost hard to believe it was the same city that took us so offguard this summer with all its madness. It is of course, so I think its just us who have changed.
